Description
As part of our required training for members to use certain tools and equipment at the makerspace. This is a Woodshop Safety Check that will enable folks to use the:
Tablesaw
Mitersaw
Small Benchtop Bandsaw
Drill Press
Benchtop Sanders
During the class, members will have the chance to ask questions, demonstrate the safe hands-on use of each of these tools, and at the end be checked off to use these tools. "Safety Check" classes are designed for folks with some experience using the above mentioned tools in order to streamline access to equipment.
Recommended Skill Level - Intermediate to Advanced

This class is open to members 14+ years of age. Minors attending this class must be accompanied by an adult parent/guardian for the duration of the course.
In order to attend this event YOU MUST REGISTER, we are unable to accomodate walk-ins at this time.
Due to the pandemic, we are a bit behind in training members on the safe use of tools and equipment. For the time being this course is only open to paying members of Decatur Makers, and you must be logged into your CRM account in order to register for this event.
