Design Lab Workshop: Catapults & Trebuchets

August: Knock down objects. Throw “cannon balls” through hoops. HIt a bullseye over forty feet away. 

In the August Design Lab Workshop we will build a dual-purpose machine that operates using tension or torsion (simple catapult), and operates using gravity power (trebuchet).

Explore the machines using the elements of S.T.E.A.M. and modify them to throw further and with more accuracy.

Are your kids fascinated by how things move and work? Our Design Lab workshops are the perfect opportunity for young engineers and inventors to dive into the exciting world of engineering and design. Each session will focus on a different subject, ensuring a diverse and engaging learning experience.
