Puppets & AI Ethics Workshop for Kids

Dates: Friday, July 7th

Time: 10am-1pm

Looking for children aged 10-12 for workshops on AI and storytelling with puppets. We will introduce what AI is, applications of AI, storytelling activities for imagining future AI, make puppets and act out those stories, and discuss the ethics of AI with those stories.

This event is free. All materials for design and making activities are provided.  There is one snack break.

This is a collaboration between Decatur Makers, Georgia Tech, and University of Oulu, Finland.

In addition to registering and completing the Decatur Makers Liablity Waiver, please please print, sign, and bring to class this Parental Permission Form.


Please note: The workshop is part of a research project studying how to best support critical AI literacy for children and teachers. During the workshop, audio, video, and other kinds of data are collected. The data are anonymized and analyzed for research reporting and publications, following US and European research guidelines. This study has Georgia Tech IRB approved Protocol H22327 "PAIZ: Participatory AI with Schoolchildren".
