Description

An introduction to digital photography starting with the camera and photo capture. We will focus on how to think about the camera as a data capture device, the core camera variables (exposure, aperture, iso), and how to use the histogram so that you know for sure that you have captured a viable photo. We will also consider how to think about selecting and framing photographic subjects to produce aesthetically pleasing images, as well as what a "photographic subject" might mean for minimalist or abstract photography.

The first portion will be classroom style and then we'll move outside to take some photos.  Be sure to bring your camera and remember phone cameras count too if that's what you're likely to use!
