Die Cutting 101 or How to Learn to Love your Cameo and Cricut Machine!

This class serves as an introduction to personal personal die cutting machines. These machines are multi-purpose cutting, drawing, embossing machines that work on a variety of materials. They've become central to the work of many crafters allowing them to create decals, stickers, cards,, stencils which can be used to decorate a variety of objects and be used in a wide array of crafts. Interestingly there are many similarities between die cutting and CNC so there is some overlap in some of the tools that can be used.

In this class we'll discuss the content and each person will be able to produce a decal or stencil that they can take away. We'll be using the Space's Silouette Cameo machine.

We'll also discuss similar machines such as the cricut and enabling software applications that can help expand the capabilities such as Inkscape, Canva and Adobe Illustrator.

This class is open to makers 13+. Minors must be accompanied by an adult parent or guardian for the duration of the class.
