Summary

Through project-based activities, these workshops will expose students to programming and engineering in a fun and engaging way using a variety of robots and tools. Students will learn how to get robots to move, lift arms, and possibly dance. In addition to learning the fundamentals of coding and electronics, these workshops will offer excellent opportunities for enhancing teamwork and problem-solving skills. 

Description

RoboMakers is for 5th-8th grade students interested in robotics. Through project-based activities, these workshops will expose students to programming and engineering in a fun and engaging way using a variety of robots and tools. Students will learn how to get robots to move, lift arms, and possibly dance. In addition to learning the fundamentals of coding and electronics, these workshops will offer excellent opportunities for enhancing teamwork and problem-solving skills. 

RoboMakers will meet on the 3rd Thursday of each month from September through January @ Decatur Makers. A new session will open for ten more students in February. 

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED AND LIMITED TO THE FIRST 10 REGISTRANTS. We hope to have consistent attendance for all 5 dates but will reach out to registrants to find out what dates they plan to attend.

Workshop Dates: September 15th, October 20th, November 17th, December 15th, and January 19th.

The first meeting is Thursday, September 15th, 6pm-8pm. Pizza will be provided! 
Cost: $20 per workshop, and payment will be collected via invoice before September 15th (cost adjustment available)
